What’s your favorite pizza?

(This post was inspired by my growling stomach)

You can expound on this as much as you want. Favorite chain, brand, crust, toppings, chef, whatever. Also, I’m going to use your comments as a list of pizzas to try.

I really dig thin, crispy crust. Plenty of cheese with bacon and pineapple. Homemade or store-bought, I don’t care. That’s my fav.

Your turn. Lay it on me.

The "Rollie's Pizza", across from Lost Creek Elementary school is the best pizza I have had in years! The crust is thin, but the edges are like hand-tossed. They have the crumbly sausage, that you don't find anymore. We had a 14" medium with pepperoni & sausage. This is the first time we have actually finished a pizza and didn't give the leftovers to the dog in a very long time. No need for extra cheese. they put plenty on it. They are only open for lunch on Fridays, though. Otherwise, they open at 4:00. 877-7700

I drive by this every day. Wendy and I are going to have to check it out.

Wendy and I make a point to visit Giordano's anytime we're up your way. LOVE it!

I was going to say Giordano's…that could be the only reason I visit Chicago ; )

We'll have to take Brad there next time we're in town.

The best pizza I've ever had was at the original Pizzaria Uno in downtown Chicago (not the chain). We sat at what was purported to be Frank Sinatra's table.

Is it still there? If so, do you have the address?

I have no idea. It was the only time I've ever been to Chicago, which was probably 20 some odd years ago.
If it's not there anymore, that's really sad. Ah…the memories.

Can't believe nobody has mentioned Gino's in Chicago (the one on Wells). I've got a friend who orders them flown in to Oregon on his birthday!

Pizza Villa, the absolute best. There is one in Linton & in Jasonville. Just sausage and pepperoni is all you need.

I used to like Pizza Hut's veggie with no onions and light black olives. But lately I have found Chicago's to be my favorite. One has tomatoes, green peppers, broccoli and mushrooms on it. Lately I have taken a liking to ranch dressing with tomatoes and bacon. Makes me hungry just thinking about it.

The best pizza I have ever had without a doubt is from Pizza Pantry in Spencer. I grew up in that area, and always loved their pizza as a kid. Everytime I go thru Spencer, I always bring home a large sausage pizza with an extra order of sausage!! It is the best, you should definitely treat yourself to one! I think there is also a Pizza Pantry in Ellettsville, but you don't have to drive that far since Spencer is on the way:) Enjoy!!

All time, Giordano's. In town, Maurizo's.

After managing, area supervising and director of operationing (???) pizza joints for 16 years, I really don't enjoy pizza from those places I worked for….ie Domino's and Pizza Hut….Papa Johns has always been my favorite and I really found Pizza Hut to be disgusting til moving to Germany. The Hut over here is FANTABULOUS! You'd think you were in a 4 star restaurant with the atmosphere (and the prices), and the pizza is amazing. I have no idea how they carry the same name, but taste so different…..Ya'all should come try it!!
