The church still has plenty of work to do. We’re kidding ourselves if we think otherwise. Here’s a Thanks post from The Homeless Guy (a.k.a. Kevin):

Thanks to the person who loaded my Starbucks card so that I’d have someplace to go to during these holiday days when very few businesses were open.    And thanks to Starbucks.   From what I gather, all of their stores were open regular hours.   The library was closed both Thursday and Friday.  Being able to buy coffee at Starbucks gave me the opportunity to get inside somewhere while the weather was less than hospitible.

And thanks to Linda and crew for the Thanksgiving Day Dinner.  Thursday, scores of homeless people were treated to a fine Thanksgiving Day Dinner at Flanagan’s – an upscale steak house.   It made the season bright.
