First Baptist Church in Dallas is building a new building.

The plans for the church campus include a high-tech, 3,000-seat worship center, which will double the church’s current worship capacity. There will also be an education center and 500-space parking garage.

My life would be a comedy, something of a cross between National Lampoon and Monty Python. The name of my movie would probably be something like The 35-Year Old Kid. I can see Jonah Hill playing me (only with less hair).

Somehow I blew right past my blog’s birthday on August 27th.

Thing is, prior to shawnw.org I had a couple other blogs that both ran about two years each. Did I bother to keep screenshots or backups of either blog? Of course not. Imagine that.

Anyway, if you’re a frequent visitor you’ll notice my blog’s had a bit of a facelift. Actually, it’s quite different from the previous iteration. My goal is to post more frequently during the week and I didn’t think it would hurt to update my blog’s looks prior to my Guatemala trip. If I can get reliable Internet service while there, I’ll blog the crap out of that trip.

My goal is to blog on faith, technology and culture at least three times a week (as in, one post about faith, one on tech, one on culture) for a few months to try and create some consistency. Also, if you have any tech questions you’d like answered in article form (as in, “how do I use Evernote?” or “how do I set up a blog of my own?”) make your request known via the comments below and I’ll bust those out for you.
