Honesty

Oh my.

She brought it.

Well, she’s bringing it. Same thing.

Go check out my wife’s post about radical honesty. Be sure to leave her a comment and tell her what you think.

That’s how long Kelsie has been alive as of 9:01pm on March 10th. I met Kelsie’s mom (also known as my wife, Wendy) when Kelsie was 4 years old and we’ve never looked back.

Happy Birthday chid!

Check out Los on LA Ink tonight

image Be sure and watch LA Ink tonight on The Learning Channel (a.k.a. TLC) at 10 p.m. EST to see Los gets his new tattoo.

Los was a worship leader at Sandals Church in California when the episode was filmed but now works at Buckhead Church in the ATL as Service Programming Director.

Check out his “oh yeah!” video here.

I did not know that a Reese’s Pieces Blizzard directly counteracted the effects of PMS until just now.

I’m filing that one for reference.

Holy Sweet and Sour sauce Batman!

Long story short, we got Chinese takeout last night, my wife wasn’t home at the time but I got her some Sweet and Sour pork, she got home and ate Kelsie’s General Tso’s on accident. She also poured the remaining sweet and sour sauce on the Tso’s. So, we have plenty of leftover breaded chicken but no sauce.

Kelsie’s hungry, so I look up a sweet and sour sauce recipe in Google and find this:

2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. white vinegar
1/4 c. pineapple juice
2 tsp. soy sauce
1/4 c. water

We didn’t have any cornstarch, so we replaced it with 1 tbsp. flour and whisked it real good, heating the mixture on medium just until it started to boil, then we removed it from heat.

I’m posting because I can’t believe how good this simple recipe is! I’m saying this is fantastic sauce! While it was warming it smelled a little vinegar-y but it turned out fantastic. Next time you make home made sweet and sour sauce, give this little recipe a shot. The recipe above made enough for about two servings.
