Guatemala 2010 – day 2

Too tired (and emotionally spent) to write. Here’s some pics from today.

Guatemala in pictures

Just in case you weren’t around for my trip to Guatemala last October, here’s all the pictures I took in slideshow format.

Compassion Thursday – Haiti

image Normally on Thursdays myself and a group of bloggers highlight a single Compassion child for sponsorship.

Today I’m going to ask you to head over to the Compassion Haiti page and make a donation of whatever size you can. Of the 65,000 children sponsored in Haiti, some 6,000 are in Port-au-Prince. Who knows how long it will take to determine the fate of those 6,000.

I’m going to ask that you offer up some specific prayers today.

Pray that all 6,000 Compassion children survived.
Pray that Compassion’s offices are contacted soon (communications are still out).
Pray that more help not only arrives sooner than later but that relief work can be done unfettered.
Pray for peace in the region as this kind of disaster lends itself to violent survival instincts.
Pray for your role in sponsoring a child from Haiti.
Pray that somehow, through this crisis, people come to know Christ.
