I’ve put together the form below to help me keep track of my workouts. If you’re planning on taking part in the same fatblogging workout as me, you might want to use this bad boy to track your progress.

It’s time to get in shape. I’m not going back through my blog archives to see how many posts I’ve made at the end of a year that are like this because the past is the past. Everyone deserves a new start.
I’m too cheap to buy a gym membership. So, how am I going to do it?
By using the exercises detailed in this article over at Zen Habits. Some of the exercises are pullups, pushups, jump squats, bicycle crunches, jumping lunges, burpees, hindu pushups, and more.
I can already hear myself complaining as I’m doing these exercises but I have to start somewhere. I’ve tried long distance walking and other similar exercises and I’m simply bored to tears.
The most successful exercise routine for me, in the past, has been bursts of varying anaerobic exercises (much like the list above).
I start January 1. I also plan on posting video updates every weekend (likely on Saturday mornings) to chart my progress. I plan on exercising three days a week, charting how many sets and reps I do, and when I start to feel these exercises get easier.
You can also go here to see my progress.
What I WON”T do is chart my progress by my weight. I will chart it by my clothes fitting looser and by feeling better and having more energy.
Of course, I’ll need to alter my eating habits as well. It’s going to be all about portion control and stopping that ever-deadly evening snacking for me. More fruits and veggies, less processed sugars.
Lastly, I want to invite YOU to join me. I’d love to have you along for the ride. Toby’s also doing a Saturday Success dealio so I’ll be sure to post there, too.
How can you fatblog? Just create a new category on your blog called fatblogging and when you post about your fitness achievements, be sure to post in that newly created fatblogging category. That way it’s easy for all of us to track each other’s progress.
Of course, you can email me if you need help setting up your fatblogging category.
Join me. Let’s get healthier in 2009 together.
