Compassion Thursday – Rosely needs you
I’m forgoing highlighting a child here on shawnw.org today and, instead, pushing you to Toby’s blog where he’s had Rosely highlighted since Monday.

UPDATE: Juleisy has been sponsored. Thank you!
Continuing in our Thursday tradition, we highlight a Compassion child that has been waiting six months or more for sponsorship. Not sure if sponsoring a child through Compassion is worth it? I beg to differ.
Look at this face. How can you not love this little face!
Juleisy lives with her father and her mother. At home, duties include running errands and cleaning. Her father is sometimes employed as a seller in the market and her mother is sometimes employed as a seller in the market. There are 3 children in the family.
Juleisy is not attending school because she is too young. Playing with dolls, jumping rope and listening to music are her favorite activities. She also attends Bible class regularly.
Juleisy needs you. Your $32 a month will literally change not only her life right now, but the landscape of her future. You can click here to sponsor Juleisy or click here to view other children in need of sponsorship.
If you choose to sponsor a child today, please email me and let me know!
I was approached a few weeks ago to write a guest post for the Compassion blog and, of course, I jumped at the chance.
My post is live today and you can read it here. It’s called Live Like We Sing.
Starting this week, myself and four other bloggers will take one day a week to highlight a child in need of sponsorship through Compassion who’s been waiting at least six months.
These children are in desperate need and, literally, your $32 a month can release them from poverty.
Here’s the blogs that’ll be involved:
How can you help? Pray that we find connections for these children in need.
This isn’t some sort of arrangement we’ve made with Compassion. We’re simply doing this because we see children that need us and we’re using what influence we have to help.
Update: Sophia’s been sponsored. Thank you!

Today we’re highlighting Sophia from Tanzania (that rhymes!) and when I read that she likes ping pong, I just knew we had to talk about her today.
Sophia lives with her father and her mother. At home, duties include washing clothes, running errands and cleaning. Her father is sometimes employed and her mother is sometimes employed.
For fun, Sophia enjoys ping pong, playing house and playing with dolls. She attends Bible class regularly and is in kindergarten where her performance is average.
Sophia needs you. If you’re ready to sponsor Sophia, click here to be taken to her profile. If you’d like to view other children in need of sponsorship, click here.
If you choose to sponsor Sophia (or any other child), please email me through my contact form and let me know!
