New iPods are here
Let me give you the rundown of the new iPods announced today:
- iPod shuffle – still the same old tiny music player, 1 GB for $79
- iPod nano – now equipped to handle video. Comes in a couple different models (8GB and 16GB) for $149 and $199.
- iPod classic – redone iPod Video with new interface and metal outer casing. 80GB and 160GB, $249 and $349 respectively.
- iPod touch – think the iPhone without the phone. Also has wifi and the ability to check e-mail. $299 for the 8GB and $399 for the 16GB model (seems a little short on space to me, but that’s just me)
- iPhone – not much change here other than the 4GB model is being discontinued, and the 8GB model is now $399 rather than $599.
