My take on the Apple iPad
In list format no less:
- iPad? Seriously? When someone from Boston says iPad how will I know they’re not saying iPod?
- Do Apple fanboys really want to carry around three devices? I’m weighed down enough by my phone and laptop, why would anyone want to carry around an “in-between” device that’s too big to be a phone but not big enough to be a full-on computer?
- What niche does the iPad fill, other than the “look, we wear money hats!” niche for Apple?
- Hey Apple, laptops already have keyboards! Why make a keyboard attachment for the iPad?
- Wow, only $30/month for unlimited data? Great, let me add that to the $30/month I already spend on my phone’s data plan and my $50/month Internet bill.
- No, seriously… iPad?

Nah, I'm sold on most things Apple, but I really can't see the point in it. I guess if you want something better then the iPhone, but can't afford a Macbook, maybe it's for you. But who am I?? I'm sure they'll sell a billion of em :D.

I'm disappointed it's not really a Tablet…but looks like they're going for the Kindle market.
Will be interesting to see how it goes. While we keep waiting for a real tablet…

Maybe this is for the iPhone/iMac crowd; someone who doesn't have a MacBook? But, like you said, the fanboys will just scoop 'em up because they're from Apple.

You're right, the iPad is almost this "more than a Kindle, not quite a computer" device. Maybe they'll make an iTablet that's a MacBook with a swiveling, folding touchscreen. Give me *that* in a 17" flavor and now you're talking about a sweet machine.

If only apple made their devices affordable. No Kool-Aid for me. No Apple for me, never have and probably unless I win the lottery I never will.
