Crunching through the leaves and walking among the apple trees and bushels of apples. There's a certain smell about the whole experience, a feel about the apple skin and the weight of an apple in the hand. The particular sound that the apple makes as little teeth bite into it, and the way you try to keep the juices from dripping too far down your chin. My mouth is watering right now! Moving around so much, we'll more than likely, have to "mark" it differently, depending on what climate we're in :-). I remember marching band contests!! Actually my fondest high school memories come from those competitions and trips. I was also a drum major my senior year and while it wasn't as exciting for my Mom to watch, it was one the highlights of my life. If I remember correctly, we did quite well my last 2 years. Until coming to Germany, I have been to at least 5 band contests each year and 1 drum and bugle corps show. Awesome to watch and hear!
