I’m going to Guatemala

It’s official.

Scot and I are going to Guatemala with Compassion.

At this point I’m not even sure what we’ll be doing. Because it’s Compassion I’m sure we’ll get to visit some children and see up close how Compassion and their sponsors are changing their lives.

However, it’s not yet sunk in. I’m not even sure what to expect or how I’ll even process and/or deal with it all.

Now, check this: eXchange will have a crew already have in Guatemala. Therefore, Scot and I are going down a couple days early to hook up with them. This means I need to do a little fundraising for this small portion of my trip.

    All I can say is, "Amazing," and "Life-changing." There are no words to describe how completely your heart will be captured, first by God, second by His mission for those children. WARNING–Your life will never be the same!! I'll be praying for all of you and for the children you will encounter in Guatemala.

    good for you. i've been on several trips of that sort… guatemala city a few years back as a matter of fact. take lots of pictures and soak in as much of God as possible.

    Oh man I went down to Nicaragua with Living Waters International and it was the best trip I've ever taken in my life. We now sponsor a "daughter" from Nicaragua through Compassion who's 10. I'd do it over again in a heartbeat! Its something I'm working on our church/youth group to do. Maybe even just Mexico for starters. We already go to Dallas every year for downtown mission work.
