Remember to pray for those affected by this tragedy as you go about your holiday today and this weekend.

No matter what you have planned today, no matter who you have to hang out with, no matter how good or bad the food is, and no matter how long of a tryptophan-induced nap you take, from me to you and yours, have a Happy Thanksgiving.

I heard this morning on NPR that AAA is estimating 475 deaths this holiday weekend and 26,000 injuries.

Four hundred and seventy five deaths. Twenty six thousand injuries.

Do those numbers not just floor you?

They do me.

So, right now, wherever you are, pause for 60 seconds and pray for those traveling this holiday weekend. Pray for safety and security for those in the air and on the road. Moreover, let’s pray that those crazy family meetings where there is tension and anger and, sometimes, even hate, go better than anyone could ever expect or hope for.

Me? We’re hitting up Wendy’s family for lunch and the obligatory football game/nap time. Then we’ll go to my parents’ house that evening for more turkey.

I was going to do a write-up of my workbook entries from Catalyst One Day but Tim has already done a fantastic job of transcribing the notes from the workbooks on his blog.
