Hey, if it means anything to ya, the first time I stepped on the elliptical machine, I lasted 5 minutes. Now, I'm around 40 minutes and 4 miles :-)…still fat, but getting there.
Also, your Russian/Hindu, Zen diet, also called the Cross Fit program by the Army, was used to get the characters in the movie 300 in shape. You'll be svelt (is that a word?) in no time!!!

Stick with it, Shawn! It's always the hardest at the beginning.

If it makes you feel better, I've just started my own personal workouts this new year. And man… my legs have been aching for days. I'm in the same boat. But I know how important it is to hang in there through the painful start.

I'll blog on my experiences just as soon as I've made up my mind as to tools I'm going to use to do it. Going hardcore like you are is really, really difficult for me. I'm spoiled by interactivity! :)

Wow. I was a pretty big fan of 300 when it came out. My wife didn't need to see this comment (which she did). She's now accusing me of taking a man crush to a whole new level. ;)
