Talk about *your* poverty

I’m going to take a page right out of Compassion’s book and use their list of poverties:

  • Spiritual poverty
  • Economic poverty
  • Social poverty
  • Physical poverty
  • Emotional poverty

We’re all poor, in some way.

I’m going to take a guess that most people reading this aren’t economically poor. Either way, take a good, hard look at the list of poverties.

Can you put a checkmark next to one or more of them? If so, why?

2011 is fast approaching. What can you do differently in the new year to make progress toward erasing that checkmark?

And how can the church help you?

Why work doesn’t happen at work

What a glorious 15 minute talk by Jason Fried of 37signals. I agree with everything he says.

Do you ever feel mired by the office environment? Why is that? Is it our fault for the culture we create and promote? How can we change things?
