My pal, Scot, and Eric Louk, video genius extraordinaire, put together a video detailing Scot’s upcoming Sabbatical. You have to see this:

Yep. Went and saw it again. Maybe even better this time. Went with Fox, his brother-in-law, Ron Banta and a buddy of his, and it was a hoot, lemme tell you.
My wife and I saw 300 tonight.
Ho.
Ly.
Crap!
I’m going again in a couple weeks. Who’s with me? Let me know in the comments.
Seriously, let’s get a group together and go see this bad boy, I can’t wait! I will warn you, though… there is a couple ever-so-brief flashes of female breast. But, that was the thing in Greece back then, so who are we to judge?

Just can’t shut me up today, huh? I was browsing Starbuck‘s website (I’m not an addict, I’m not an addict, I’m not an addict…) to find a location close to where I’m training tomorrow in Indy (Active Directory and Group Policy… yeah!) and happened over to their The Way I See It page, and saw this quote.
Many people lack a spiritual belief system and fill that void with obsessions about celebrities. The celebrities are raised to the rank of gods, and these earthly gods will always fail the expectations the masses have set for them. The cycle runs thusly: adoration turns to obsession, obsession turns to disappointment, and from disappointment it is a just a short emotional jump to contempt.

No wonder all we hear about anymore is Anna Nicole Smith and Britney Spears. Rock on, Donna. Rock on.
I wonder if Donna has a blog?

If you’ve been thinking about blogging, and making it more than a simple “here’s what I did today” journal, then you need to check out Joshua Porter‘s 9 Lessons for Would-Be Bloggers. It’s a great rundown of things that’ll motivate your soul and stimulate your mind. Here’s one of my favs:
It’s only an initial fear
The problem with blogging isn’t just the writing part. It’s also the putting-myself-on-public-display part. Many would-be bloggers that I’ve met don’t blog because they’re not comfortable with throwing themselves to the wolves…putting their ideas out into the world for all to see. Once you do that, of course, you open yourself up for criticism, and goodness knows that you’ll get some! But you’ll also get encouragement, and some people will really groove on what you say. Once you get a little practice under your belt, you’ll find that it’s only an initial fear…it gets easier as you go along to share your ideas.
Definitely one of my biggest challenges in the beginning was the realization that, “hey, someone could come up to me and make a comment about something I wrote on my blog.” However, once I realized that this simply meant people were reading (plus some other ego-check dealios I worked through), I was ready to rock and roll.
Check out the rest of his post here, and take notes (or add his article to del.icio.us; either way, show this guy some love!).
