Lord God,

In this time of pain and hurt, may we remember that you are the Creator God. There are none above or beside you God. A day after this tragedy, we pray for comfort for everyone involved. May you come along side the families of the students of VT. Please God, come along side the family of the shooter, and through this fog of awfulness, may your sovereign hand reign over all, your love evident, and your mercy plentiful.

God, in this horrible time, it would be so easy to point fingers and be filled with anger. Lord, may the hate never begin, and somehow allow those involved to get through this time without more violence and trouble.

We ask for your grace and your peace in this time, Father. You who built up the mountains, and carved out the depths of the sea, we can not fathom who you are and what you do for us. Thank you Father God.
