Home theater or movie theater?

Thanks to hackedgadget for the image Since the inception of Netflix my movie intake has increased quite a bit. Netflix is also a more fiscally acceptable alternative to actually going to movie theaters (which we rarely do anymore) and I much prefer the comfort of my living room than the popcorn-infested, commercial-laden, sugar-sticky-floored movie theater environment.

This post’s purpose is simply to ask, how often do you watch a movie, and do you watch movies more often at home or in the theater, and why? We have a big screen, high-def television at home and frankly, curling up on the couch and watching a flick just beats today’s movie going experience all to snot (that is, unless it’s Man Movie Night, which is an experience in and of itself).

Apple introduces the MacBook Air

A couple problems present themselves immediately with the MacBook Air. One, the battery isn’t user replaceable so you have to make the one that’s in there count. Also, there’s no attached optical drive (although the Air does come with a pretty near drive sharing technology) so if you want to use a CD you’ll need to attach an external device to do so which seems like a bit of a pain. I’ve read several other complaints as well, which raises the question:

Is the Air too far ahead of its time?
